Three Ingredient Stirfry Sauce | 5 Mins

Three Ingredient Stirfry Sauce | 5 Mins

Let's face it, whilst time-saving dinner hacks are a life-line, ready-made packet sauces are not always the good-for-you choice, as many of them are laden with nasty preservatives. Keep it simple, try this truly delicious 3-ingredient Soy-Citrus stir-fry sauce using standard pantry items, then add your choice of protein, veggies and toss together with noodles, and voila! Supper is served.

SERVES 2

TIME: 5 Mins

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/3 cup Orange Juice
  • 3 TBS Soy Sauce
  • 1 to 2 TBS Honey
  • 100ml boiling water

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • In a large bowl, mix together honey with boiling water.
  • Add orange juice and soy sauce and mix well.
  • Add to your stirfry as a sauce base.

TIPS:

  • Use 100% orange juice, anything else is way too sweet and lacks the strong citrus flavour.
  • Taste and adjust as you like.
  • Spring onions are a great addition, as are finely chopped chilli and a dash of lime juice.
  • I often simmer chicken thighs in this sauce too - delish!
